With more than 22 years of experience in the building and construction industry, Patrick Fernan approaches each commercial construction project with an engineer’s eye toward exacting details and precise specifications. Graduating from Tufts University in 1999, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Patrick curated his varied portfolio of projects by overseeing the design, renovation, and construction of industrial and commercial entities in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.
His field knowledge commenced in commercial heavy civil construction with Barletta Engineering, in Canton, Massachusetts, where he quickly rose to Project Manager. Patrick supervised building and construction projects focused on water treatment facilities, mass transit facilities, and municipal roadways and bridges. His exposure at Barletta to the design and development of commercial entities provided a strong foundation for all later projects; Patrick ensures each endeavor adheres to impeccable quality control measures, and the highest standards of construction.
Based on his knowledge of civil engineering, coupled with his exposure to myriad building projects, in 2006, Signature Construction Group, recruited Patrick to launch and develop their Hartford/New Haven branch. As Vice President of Construction Operations, Patrick expanded the company's reach in commercial renovation, and curated a niche in the healthcare and hospital arena.
After thirteen years with Signature in Hartford, Patrick founded Catalyst Construction Services, LLC, in New Haven, where, as President, Patrick specializes in personally supervising every project through each stage of construction, following the strictest code of standards in the industry. Along with the talent and skill of an outstanding team, Patrick employs the highest level of expertise, extraordinary craftsmanship and bespoke design elements to create on-trend, modern, exquisite commercial spaces for Catalyst’s clients. Whether building from the ground up, or refreshing and renovating existing spaces, Patrick will continue to expand the reach of Catalyst Construction Services, LLC throughout New England.
